1 cup unsalted butter at room temperature
1 cup sifted powdered sugar
¼ tsp salt
2 ¼ cup all purpose flour
Combine butter and sugar until fluffy. Add extract. Mix in salt, flour and food coloring until well-combined. Cover parchment paper with sprinkles. Roll log of dough into sprinkles – cover with parchment and refrigerate for at least four hours. Cut ¼ inch pieces and place on cookie sheet for baking.
Bake in preheated oven at 375 degrees for 7-9 minutes
